Juneau's Port Director Refutes Inference That the Town Would Not Welcome Small Cruise Ships - KINY Radio

City and Borough of Juneau Port Director Carl Uchytil refuted the comment while a guest on Action Line. "I'm not sure where he got that information. I believe the Assembly and city manager office will abide by the state mandates on interstate travel and if a cruise ship, the small ones, that want to operate can operate under those guidelines, I think we welcome that commerce. "
The port director said a couple of small cruise lines have plans to come to Juneau. "To the best of my knowledge, Uncruise and American Cruise Lines still intend to operate at the end of July. Those operators operate out of private docks."
