Mount Hood

This is the land of many Native American and First Nations peoples, Lewis and Clark, and even the controversial Kennewick Man.

The region offers stunning landscapes and the northern climate makes for a wonderful respite from the summertime heat.

Carol and I have yet to sail the Columbia & Snake Rivers. However, this region is #1 on our 2020 bucket list.

As an added bonus, the Willamette Valley (famous for its Pinot Noir wines) is just south of Portland. Therefore, you should come expecting some great wines from Oregon and Washington wineries.

And perhaps best of all, it is all right here in the good ole’ USA. 🙂
